North phoenix cave creek area
We live in Eastmark which is east Mesa. Great neighborhood with lot of open spaces and parks
If you have kids, Gilbert...Might be too far, but it's worth it, IMO.
I just looked at a home in Gilbert, near its downtown. Why would you recommend it?
Arcadeia or Roosevelt, perhaps?
Just bought in Chandler
What do you think of as an "up and coming area"? I have lived in the Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale areas for over 25 years so I know most areas quite well. The newest built areas are actually condos, in North Scottsdale, north of the 101 where the Desert Ridge area is. New homes I think were stalled in being built due to pandemic economic resulting issues but they are probably getting back to building them again. Out of the entire 25 or so years I have lived here, housing is the MOST expensive it has EVER been. A decent ranch style 2000 sq ft home could be bought for $200k or less. Now it is double that. I have compared new home prices to older homes in the past year. I think it is probably better worth your money to go with new homes because many older homes are probably not remodeled as nicely, although some might be. Good luck finding what you are looking for! :)
