Making himself at home in my home office!

The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

CAIA vs CFA?
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

Uplift is great!
I did quite a bit of research on this in 2020 and went with the Steelcase Migration SE. The price point is higher but the motors are modern and it's very stable when raised in standing position. You can also customize it. I highly recommend going with a good brand name because they'll back-up their products with a long warranty period. Steelcase has a 12-year warranty on their desks and chairs.

When I was down in the rabbit hole I was researching the type of motors each of the popular brands use and that was a major deciding factor for me along with stability. There are great websites out there that give really in-depth reviews.

Following too.. my ex had a standing desk that had a glassy white boarding surface, with a phone charging station as well. Forgot to ask her where she got it from, but if anyway has seen something similar please lmk!
Thanks! That desk is honestly great
Vari is the best out there
Uplift. Expensive but so many options
I didn't. I was recommended uplift and was given a discount so jumped on it. But in sure there are other great options that are cheaper!
Uplift DOES say they have a 20 year warranty though. Haven't needed to use it yet but might potentially be worth the investment if they're lenient with fixes/replacements
Got my flexispot in 2020 for ~300 and it’s not failed me yet. also sleek and very sturdy https://www.flexispot.com/electric-height-adjustable-desk-en1-48
Go to Samsclub, they have one for 299$ which works great with two large monitors
