Big 4 Post-Interview Delay: Is 1 Month Normal?
Hi all, I finished my 2nd technical round at a Big 4 firm exactly 1 month ago. HR says I’m shortlisted, but I haven't heard about the final HR round yet. The portal still shows "Interview in progress."
Usually, people get calls in 1–2 weeks; it’s been 4 weeks for me. Is this delay normal for this firm? Has anyone experienced this recently? I’d appreciate any advice on how to follow up again.

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

Apparently I just suck at interviewing, or the firms in my area are not hiring. 🤦

One of my friend got interviewed in Deloitte and she was asked to rethink her salary ask in the HR round. She reduced it to 1L less than initial ask. Now the status is in benchmarking approval. What does that mean ? Will they release the offer letter ?

But due to the diminishing demands of the role in IT industry , I am planning to switch my career in Devops or AWS which would help me grow.
But I am not sure without any practical knowledge, will I get a job at this many years of experience in a different profile.

I have got Pre hire survey 10 days back from D (requesting for payslip upload and CTC sheet upload) but I haven't heard back anything after that from them. I have a joining into accenture in next 10 days.
