Just wrapped my annual review and received the pay scale report for my role. Salary range is $63,300 - $91,100. My current salary without benefits is $77,500 or about 51% of the range. After 5 years in this role - should I be asking for more money or is earning 50% of the range good? Does that make sense?

Started with EY as an intern, currently a Senior 2 moving to Senior 3 in Oct. Part of Indirect Tax in the New York Metro Area. Reviews and utilization are consistently above peer group average. CPA, no Masters.

Currently salary is 77k. I feel like I’m underpaid compared to peers/others when I see threads on Fishbowl. Does this seem low to anyone else?

Anyone have experience working as a contract Project Manager? I’ve been in medical device manufacturing for almost 6 years, currently making $120k as a Project Manager. Getting a lot of recruiters for contract positions in the same industry. Do these typically guarantee 40 hours per week? If so, it seems a no brainer to consider as I could bump my pay up to $150k-$180k and be able to change projects every year. What’s been your experience working as a contract PM? Had HR discussion yesterday for BA role and for the associate level they mentioned the band they currently have upto 11.7lpa and my current salary is 10.8 with 2.5 yoe.. Although the hr mentioned he would check with the project team and offer a better compensation. Do they really change the ctc post discussion or is it based on the defined band itself? Undergrad Nontarget. Got past the resume check in November for McKinsey Summer BA but didn't make it past imbellus which was really crushing. Does anyone have any help for the following?

A. Succeeding in imbellus and making it to the case
B. Getting past the resume process this upcoming full time cycle. I'm worried that my negative imbellus result will be kept on file and they won't let me take it again.

Bain uses the word "answer first" (incessantly) to describe a hypothesis or the hypothesis-forward thinking approach.

Do the other firms have lingo for this kind of thing as well?
