Don’t ever buy anything extra from the dealer they always pierce you, I’ve learned this the hard way.
This. They’re trying to swindle u.
You can get gap through your insurance for way less. Don’t really need the extended warranty. I think all the EV stuff is covered until 120k anyways
Yes that’s I think but my SO is not convinced as EV is a new tech with god knows what can go wrong.

Oh boy that sounds really expensive. EV batteries are warranted for 10 years or 100k miles, and Kia CPO program should cover powertrain for 10 years and bumper to bumper for 5 years. There are so few mechanical parts in EVs I’m not sure an extended warranty (which often excludes many things as peripherals, accessories or wear and tear items) is worth it at all. Still, check with any 3rd party warranty provider and see how much they charge.
The EV technology is still in its infancy, and in 5 years you might want to buy another EV just to keep up with the tech and features anyway, so personally speaking I am not buying any long term coverage/warranty program.

Check with your insurance company, they might offer better deal for gap than the dealer (or many banks when financed).
