One might not say Facebook at the moment
DC - Civilian Agency
I would say the ultimate exit is any position where your title is "chief innovation officer" or "director of strategic initiatives" or some b.s. synthetic title like that where you're measured by your ability to Brown nose well.
@S1 no way - major autos are not fun at all to work for.
DC - More like cyber security companies; Hacking paranoia has it growing gangbusters
@P1 - civilian agency = better work/life balance, as a civilian you usually have a team of contractors to lead so it equals managerial position, the relative immunity you mentioned, the ease of transfer to another region or branch after a few years. Not glamorous, but if you’re leaving Big4 it might get a person what they are seeking in industry.
Ford in Detroit?
Delaware - financial industry ( Barclays , rbs )
@d2 isn't that a little bit disappointing, though? What is there to be excited about in civilian agencies, aside from nearly absolute immunity to performance based pressure?
Wonder what’s in Dfw
@d2 90% of those people don't do anything productive. Of the remaining activity, most of it is either political or extractive or both. None of it is creative or ambitious. I like to think that more than 10% of consultants are ambitious and or want to be creative and ambitious.
