I'm into Salesforce with 6.2yrs of experience working as a Sr. Developer having the current CTC as 14lpa. And got an offer from Mindtree for the same Sr. Developer position(C3- Module Lead), as Lead position requires minimum 7yrs of experience. They offered me a package of 19.2lpa. Is this worthy? Principal is L65-66, Senior is L63-64. The vast majority of folks hit a ceiling at 64, as it can be quite difficult to get promoted to 65. Itâs a major ceiling within the company (have worked with many folks who have been there ~25 years and havenât progressed past senior). At L65 youâre generally considered part of the extended leadership team in your org regardless of whether you manage people or not. Expectations of the role are a lot higher than a 64, but if youâve got the experience and chops to be strategic AND execute, then youâre better off coming in at L65.
People manager roles arenât limited to only a handful of levels. Both seniors and principals can be managers, and both can be ICs, depending on the org and the scope of the role. Look at the JDs for specific experience in directly managing people to help determine if itâs a people manager role.
