I applied to a position a few months ago and they got back to me in 2 days. They initially reached out to me through email to schedule a call with HR

I referred a friend and they heard back in a few days. If you can get a someone to send you the recruiter contact then you'll be at the top of the list.
I never heard back lol
Pro Tip: On LinkedIn, find the highest ranking person at the firm you want, in the job you want, at the location you want. Message them and say that you are exploring [enter job type] opportunities with a couple Big 4 firms and you are wanting to talk to them about how they went about deciding in their career. Start with a Partner or SM and wait a couple days. If no response, find another person and so on. Someone will eventually bite and grant you a convo. On the call, introduce yourself and reiterate that you are talking to similar people at other Big 4 firms and want to know more about their career. They’ll talk for awhile and you just listen. Then at the very end you ask if they have any advice on how you can get your foot in the door at [their firm]. They’ll likely say they can refer you or for you to send them your resume. Then your in. The corporate recruiter will reach out to you next to get general info and ask to schedule interviews. In that convo w/ the recruiter, ask them if there is a general timeline for the process beginning to end because you are also talking with the [Big 4 competitor name] and that process is a little bit ahead, but you really like [their company]. They’ll fast track you. During your interviews with the actual team, drop the fact that you initially spoke to [first person from LinkedIn] and that’s how you became interested. Instant cred (assuming you picked a big fish then). Now do the above with all of the Big 4s at the same time. When you get offers (you will) then you can pick whichever firm you like the best.
^^^I personally applied to all the firms 10+ times through the website with zero response. Then I did the above and had interviews with all Big 4s within a month and got 2 offers.
