Look in noma, Union mkt, and south eckington
LOL!
Sorry if this is obvious, but have you checked around Rhode Island Ave and/or NoMa? You probably want something on the red line so you won’t have to switch trains, since that can be a pain. I don’t know about 3B places specifically, but I remember seeing several options for nice looking 2B2BR under 3000 last time I looked!
Most everyone I know lives on the outskirts of DC, so they can take the metro from Silver Spring, Rockville, etc.
And the commute from silver spring isn’t that bad? I’m told the metro is unreliable.
Any reason you have to be in dc? Better better bang for the buck in VA or MD
The only reason I’m looking in DC is because I’ll be working long and late hours and want a short commute. I’m finding some options in MD like silver spring but even there it’s hard to find a building within price that is within walking distance of the metro. I live in NYC now and I was even able to find a true 3 bedroom with laundry for $2800 and it’s only a 40 min commute by train and 25 by bus. So I’m SHOCKED by the DC market. I was told it’s better than NYC.
