Can I have a pretty successful run of things if I only have an associate's degree or should I get my bachelors? Have a good job right now just worried about the future.

You have competing interests to consider. You are doing well with an associate's degree, so you have the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" argument. However, you are obviously someone who understands that each day brings the opportunity for new triumphs and new problems. In short, "It ain't broke now, but it may get broken." My personal opinion is that gaining more education is never a bad thing. The question is, do you have the time, money, and physical stamina to work full-time, have a family/personal life, and pursue a college degree? I can't answer those questions for you, but from what I think I know about you from what you've already said, I am pretty sure you can.

I managed to do quite well in my career with only an associates. There is value to be had in hands-on experience as well, which is why most job listings state "X degree OR comparable relevant experience". Don't downplay your achievements or undervalue yourself. That said, I also acknowledge that there are some situations in which you will hit a wall and need to pursue additional education if you want to move beyond that.

Hey guys, need some advice. I was fortunate enough to get the Consortium fellowship at Ross but am also stuck on the CBS waitlist and am still planning to apply to Wharton in R3. Assuming I get into CBS/Wharton, is there that much of a difference between them to forgo scholarship money? For context, I want to get into product management at FAANG/fintech with pursuing MBB as a plan B. Thanks in advance!

How important is a master's degree for your career? Can you have longevity and thrive in the tech world with just a bachelor's? Should I spend another year preparing and appear for CAT 2023 or should I give up and prepare for interviews?

I have a Deloitte PDM offer. I’ve read about the positives/negatives and I’m so torn. When my recruiter says I’ll have “144 hours” of PTO (18 days), will I definitely still run into the utilization trap of not being able to take it? Are all projects 40-42 hr weekly caps? Third question: I’m new in the DC area, are PDMs invited to firm socials? Trying to make friends! Thanks in advance

Are private companies easier to work at than public companies in accounting? We have such an accelerated close deadline at the publicly traded company I’m at now, I really hate the inflexible tight deadlines and analysis seems to drag on forever after that. We also close AP/AR very early in the month yet that doesn’t stop payments/receipts from happening so we’re constantly adjusting our accruals until the end of month. Do private companies start their close after the month actually ends?

If you're being told "take your full lunch" (because by law you need to be given a certain amount of lunch depending on how many hours you work) but then you're told, if work's not done you need to stay until it is, and now people don't want to take their full lunches because it means they'll have to stay after work longer, is that coercion a violation of any federal labor laws?
