Can someone tell me new pay range for SDE-1 at Amazon India? From 1st April 2022 onwards. I have HR discussion left so i want to ask the right numbers from them. I do have counter offer of 16.5 lpa base.

Just venting. College friend (same ethnicity but came to US with family as a kid) told me she might get a new job offer w a smaller firm, 50% pay bump. We currently work at comparable big firms but her pay is already higher than mine (hers include stocks, mine doesn’t). We did equally well in college & I know I’m just as smart. Can’t help but feel like my career’d have been much better if I did not need sponsorship. Smaller firms don’t sponsor so I work at a big firm but pay isn’t great 🙄
