When the team wants to redline my deck

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

It’s receipt for charges over $25, hotel folios always, not statement in my experience. Don’t be surprised when they kick it back because an Amex wasn’t used though. (Or they claw it back when you get audited)
Can't you just submit the hotel folio showing the amount due and payment? It won't show up on the folio that you use points
Lol it won’t matter, you’ll probably be out of pocket the difference if you’re not using your Amex. And no there isn’t, it’s automatically applied to anything that codes as travel related.
I believe our company requires us to submit monthly statement when we use a card other than company issued Amex
Using CSR you can apply rewards as travel credit even when it's not booked via the Chase portal?
This is for when you pay a travel related charge with the CSR. They automatically credit anything travel related until you hit the $200/year
EY2, he's talking about the $300 annual travel credit that comes with the CSR - not using points
Gotcha, thanks
EY1: Do you use Amex for hotels? Asking cuz it seems that you’ve had some experience with CSR
Absolutely not, risking ~$3-4K per month for some Chase points is outside my risk tolerance (especially as apt as EY is to kick back expenses, money grubbing fucks they are). I just paid the ~$80 to earn MR points on my corporate Amex. And for my personal spend I have my CSR
OP regardless, the credit back and hotel charges show up as two separate transactions. It’s never a net amount.
