Can you share any tips for managing challenging cases involving exotic pets, such as reptiles or birds?

Sadly our clinic is not prepared and equipped to treat exotic pets. A client once came in with a pet corn snake and we had to refer them elsewhere.

We don't handle exotic pets either. It's a specialty and we are not equipped to handle them.

It can be challenging to meet the needs of an animal that is native to any environment, from a rainforest to a desert. Reptiles can be particularly challenging even for experienced pet owners to keep healthy in captivity. And this type is often more stressed by a trip to the vet than our dogs and cats. But the benefit of seeing a vet has to be weighed against the fear they may experience as they leave their familiar environment. Assure your exotic pet is kept warm during transport in the colder months. Particularly for birds and reptiles, even a brief chill can be dangerous.

Watched on YouTube about the Netherlands biking culture and how it's a good place for kids. Thinking of staying long term and sending kids to Dutch school.

Just beginning to apply via LinkedIn.
Both of us plan to work and needed inputs on what combined salary would make sense.
Would it be good to accept an opportunity if one us of us gets 60keuro and hope spouse would get an opportunity once we move there?

Hey all. Just had a question for any insurance underwriters who work in the states. I am moving down there at some point and I would like to know.. What is the insurance landscape like compared to canada? Anyone working in new York state? Is there a lot more red tape? What is the pace of work like? If anyone is willing to have a phone call that would be greatly appreciated. I am in environmental.

How do you deal with a manager / junior partner who is always nitpicking and questioning why you did what you did, or telling you what you did is the wrong way to do things? It’s generally prefaced with them only doing this to help you grow, but has the exact opposite effect on me. And then when you try to explain your POV, you’re tagged as being defensive. Generally ends me with saying I’m sorry. No other partners at the firm have ever raised any concerns on my communications or work product.

I’m in a tough spot—still waiting for conflicts to clear and out of the blue, a partner reached out regarding a project that they’ve staffed me on. They want my availability to begin working on the matter next week…how do I handle this? I haven’t given notice, but expect to do so soon…I don’t think it’s prudent to start a new matter esp. since I know I’m leaving…but I can’t turn down work with a straight face (especially because my hours are in “checked out” mode)…

Is it misleading to just look at Total Compensation from a $ dollar value/ Total Compensation seems to be much more subjective than base salary in terms of its value. Some factors might be:

RSUs granted on dollar value or by # of shares & stock price trends
Vesting schedule
strike price on ISOs & delta between strike price and real market value

For instance, most of value in Amazon's comp seems to be granted in years 3 & 4, but it's well known that most people last only 2 years max there.

So, the CDC removed the Covid guidelines. I’ve never had Covid. I’m afraid people will come into work not wearing a mask and be inconsiderate… ughhh so distracting and disgusting. I’m also at risk to develop complications. Not sure if I should talk to HR. Not even sure if I should ask for accommodations to continue being able to wfh at least most days of the week to reduce risk. Idkkkk 😩This is so unprecedented. I always wear my mask at work. I’m getting pressured to attend firm events as well

Which one should I go for?

1. Oracle - 18.3 LPA fixed + probable bonus (I may or may not get)
2. Amadeus - 18 fixed + 1.5 variable.

Amadeus is also giving joining bonus of 75k. Amadeus is paying more, may give better hikes too, but I am finding it hard to let go off Oracle's brand name on my resume even if it's means around 2L less over an year. I am planning to work for atleast 3 years in my next company.

What would you have done in my place? Should I go for Oracle or Amadeus?

If you're being told "take your full lunch" (because by law you need to be given a certain amount of lunch depending on how many hours you work) but then you're told, if work's not done you need to stay until it is, and now people don't want to take their full lunches because it means they'll have to stay after work longer, is that coercion a violation of any federal labor laws?

Hi everyone, I’m seeking some advice - my dog (8yrs old) was attacked several months ago by another dog and after she became depressed and anxious. We got her anti depression meds and those seemed to help but how a lot now a lot of signs are pointing to a potential brain tumor. To get an MRI is +1k. My mom doesn’t want to spend money but it just hurts me so much to see the behavior - she walks around in constant circles, looks sad, seizures, hides under the bed. Any advice would be appreciated.
