As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!

When i go for a job, its usually the ones that i rarely see listed that i pursue. If a job is constantly hiring, i assume theres a good chance that the place is a revolving door. Probably a toxic work environment in some form or another so they cant keep people. In the 30 years ive spent in the restaurant industry, ive found that this is usually the case.
I have this theory that a lot of the jobs are being automatically reposted and they just forget to take them down. Or maybe they aren't really jobs and they are just trying to get people's information. Either way, I ignore it if it's been posted too many times.
Well for instance, the Harbor Freight store here only hires employees that talk like inbred rednecks from Arkansas.

Could also be that the company is posting with no intention to hire anyone, all to make the company look healthy, as if they’re hiring all the time. But it makes them look like they either cannot make a decision or that they have high turnover. Either way, red flag
My last job kept job postings up. Of course fast food, we had hiring needs for team members maybe 3 times a year, we didnt have a super high turnover. However, out Shift Lead, Assistant Manager & GM positions stayed posted the entire 3 years I was there. And not once was a GM hired in that 3 years. We had an HR requirement to say we were always accepting applications. For whatever reason. I never understood why we wouldnt pull the listings if they werent truly needed. Strange for sure.
In my opinion that's humble as I know how to say it. These offices and HR leaders are not in the business of complying to the ad. These days the advertisement over job is advertisement for the business. With the implication of data analyst and people applying for jobs when people go for jobs people tend to go for jobs that they favor thereby allowing that data to be used in promoting that business name title or entity. I have the same experience reapplying to the same position that was supposed to be filled months ago. What else could it be?

Sometimes it’s just a sign they can’t find the right fit or the role keeps changing internally. Other times it’s process driven they have to post it to stay compliant, even if they’re struggling to hire. Either way, it’s definitely confusing for candidates.
