Folks, investing newbie here. Planning on using the Bogleheads recommended 3 fund portfolio. Opened a tIRA with Fidelity and have been reading about their 4 fund portfolio which is in line with Bogleheads.

They are too young for earned income and I don’t own a business so no IRA investing opportunities here.

I’m not bad with money but definitely lots of room to improve overall, due to several personal factors I don’t want to list in full here (numerous unanticipated medical bills, bad boyfriends, etc.) Hence why I only have $3k in savings right now. 529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.
