Depending on what you mean…
If you’re pitching ideas:
Have a point of view. Don’t be precious. You’re not going to solve everything immediately. Be open to the process.
If you’re helping build a shared deck:
Listen to direction. Be thorough. Don’t make little mistakes.
Gear up. Pitches are intense. But if you roll with it, there is a light at the end.
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. That’s when I see creative teams face mental blocks, exhaustion and burnout. Keep it light while everyone else bugs.
Do a great job and you get put on more pitches. This is good for your career growth, people’s perception of you goes up, you get more and better opportunities.
So throw yourself at it and watch it go. Best of luck.
