CEO: Went to Naval academy, served honorably, earned a Wharton MBA paid for by the Army, became an outstanding leader, inspires the entire company.

One of the SP: went to the Long Gray Line crowd ,also got a taxpayer-funded Wharton MBA, and somehow with the confidence level of a Fortune 500 founder and the people skills of a parking ticket.

Conclusion: Apparently the Army can pay for Wharton, but it still can’t guarantee a humility elective.

Does the military or schooling really change an individual’s personality? From what you are saying, doesn’t seem like there is any real change.

likesmart

While there isnt an explicit rule requiring Masters degrees, Officers typically need to get their masters to be competitive in consideration for promotion to O4 (Major) and above.

While the military has contracts with specific schools for undergraduate (U of MD) and graduate programs (varies by degree/specialization), they do not have any control of the curriculum nor instructors delivering the classes. "Military schooling" is limited to Officer Training School for those that already have a degree, and the branch academies (West Point, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy) for those pursuing a degree.
