Change of pace/ My client is good, my budget for 2024 is secured, and I have lots of holiday time off to look forward to. I don't think I've had so little stress hitting me in a long time. Is it time to casually start looking for a new job while the going is good?

Always good to see what’s out there, but it’s a tough market out there right now, and salaries have softened. If you like where you are, assess your price for leaving the devil you know for the devil you don’t; if it’s more than the market rate band of the roles you’re looking for, take this time to relax.

Nightmare scenario and need your help. I moved into a new place in august knowing I was going to be WFH. Quiet, lots of light.

They just started construction right next to my building with all day noise, including a bull dozer and heavy machinery coming within 6 feet of my window. We’re also on the second floor so I mean RIGHT NEXT TO MY WINDOW.

I also have a bunch of men starting at me all day on too of the noise triggering my migraines. What can I do?

I’m obviously looking at hubspot but what other platforms (combined of individual) do you like most?

What are some good practices during the sales phase of a potential project to execute before the contract is signed? Seems obvious but would love some ideas on standard operating procedures that help with seamlessly handing over a signed contract to the account team. Anyone else finding it very difficult to get any enjoyment out of account management these days? Any coping tips? I feel like being an account person is especially difficult in the COVID era since so much of what we do is manage communications, ensure the team is set up well etc. None of this feels particularly fun alone staring into the void of Zoom all day ... but the same pressure is still there. I feel like I spend every week counting down to the weekend which kinda sucks.

Question for those involved in pricing / P&L management: what is your overhead / cost / profit breakdown?

I’m curious to see how standard this is across agencies. For example, what I have seen is:

Overhead (including exec salaries) - 40%
Project Labor / Costs - 40%
Profit - 20%

What have you experienced?
