Reserve if you travel even a bit. $300 annual travel credit, lounge pass to Priority Pass airport lounges (saved me in Barcelona), 3x earning rate vs 2x for travel, 1.5 (vs 1.25¢) redemption per point... With the travel credit and extra points from travel expenses it is the easy choice if you do that (plus, lounges w free food and booze!) even w the higher annual fee. My gf used to work at Chase, hence my over research. This card rocks 💳

Reserve. I worked on preferred and reserve is better. Plus it gives you the coverage that AMEX doesn’t have.

Reserve a thousand percent

PS the travel credit applies to Uber and Lyft. Super easy to get the $300

Reserve for sure...

And freedom for 5pts on quarterly categories and freedom unlimited for everything else at 1.5pts

Reserve. Global entry is life changing!!

Do preferred for the first year when they waive the $95 dollar fee. Then switch over to the reserve! This is what I did, so worth it.

Reserve ftw

reserve ftw. I rack up WAY more points on production with it. 3x vs. 2x makes a difference when you’re paying hotels, dinners, and travel on shoots. It adds up quickly.

Plus for international shoots, global entry is clutch getting back into the country. Also global entry has expedited security lines in Vancouver and Toronto when you shoot in Canada.

And also the Amazon card is low key amazing now. 5% cash back on amazon and at Whole Foods.

@S1 the price seems steep but I know it's less when you consider the travel credit

In addition to uber/lyft - travel credit applies to just about anything travel related even Go2go, ez pass refill, metro card 💳 you definitely can reach it pretty quickly.

Yes, so you just make sure to use the correct card within the chase portfolio that gives you the most points for the activity and then merge your bank of ultimate reward points accumulated..

My American citizen 8 month old is on tourist visa in India; current stay runs out on June 7. Flying outside the country is a risk we don’t want to take w/COVID. Don’t want to overstay the visa either. So we applied online on eFRRO to convert his visa to X-1 so we can apply for his OCI. They didn’t ask for payment and message popped up saying watch your text/email for next steps. Anything else I can do?

Living in Van. Previously lived in Toronto. Obviously rent prices are high as is cost of living. Generally go out and spend more often living in a city. Boyfriend and I on good salary but not saving much due to the above. Before we move home to our own country, we’d love to spend a year close to Vancouver where rent is cheaper, temptation is less, to save. A commute to Vancouver 1-2 times a month needs to be possible (his job). That can be a flight if it’s not crazy. Thoughts? Recommendations?

I read that you can tax deduct medical expenses not covered by insurance (incl. IVF treatment, meds, acupuncture, etc.) for the amount that exceeds 7.5% of your gross income.

Do you know if you need to deplete your HSA funds first? Or can I just keep that as is for the future and tax deduct my IVF related medical expenses incurred this year on my upcoming return?

Thank you!

I was recently promoted to a new position at my company. I'm so excited to be taking on this new challenge, but it's not going as well as I had hoped.

I've been given a lot of responsibilities, which is great. But I don't feel like any of them are being prioritized or delegated appropriately. I'm getting a lot of pressure from my manager, who is quite demanding and doesn't seem to understand that I need time to get things done and learn new skills.
