Chase sapphire Reserve is the best card ever
Ritz or Motel 6?
@D3 it's totally worth it for anyone who already has chase sapphire preferred. The annual fee comes out to 150 if you take out the 300 dollar travel credit, which is only 55 more than CSP.
Recently made the switch from Cap One Venture to CSR. They do not even belong in the same conversation. CSR is a whole other tier of cc. Also great offer now of 100,000 points if you meet total spend of $4k in first three months. Annual fee comes out to $150 when you factor $300 travel annual credit they give you. 3 points on restaurants blows the comp away.
@D3 take a lap
CSR is great if it meets your budget in the long run. The bonuses are great but if I don't spend enough - like a $300 credit on travel then it's not worth it. It doesn't make sense to blow up budget to meet minimums.
The math doesn't work for me. Might be a different story if I could use for business expenses but I have to use corp Amex.
These CSR posts are funny. Not worth the annual fee at all.
Op: I'd choose the Citi Double Cash over Venture.
I have both. My break even between the 2 cards is about 275 a month on travel/rest spend. Since I hit that, I'm going to downgrade my venture card.
