Change is messy. And if company communications were already thin, re-orgs just make them worse.
If there is lots of levels in the organization, your boss probably doesn’t have any information and is probably getting information in pieces.
The respond to email thing, that is weird unless there is some sort of vacation / medical thing happening.
It might not hurt to put your LinkedIn profile to open for work to recruiters only.
Comms have always been awful, but we’re pretty flat. I’ve tried to tell our c suite numerous times that in a comm vacuum folks are more than happy to spread rumor and gossip, but to no avail….
My boss is the officer designing this part of the reorg…. So, they def know what’s going on.
The email thing is beyond bizarre and it’s not medical and not just me. We have 3 team leads and only 1 gets anything from the new boss. I don’t get it at all and I’ve had some difficult bosses, but this has me scratching my head…
Already done! 😊 Given how this is going down, I’m not sure my new boss and I would gel… I have some basic work requirements like acknowledging my teams existence, treating people with respect, being courteous, and not playing gotcha games. This boss has failed them all so far.
