I think it comes back to the heightened patience, assuming everyone is trying their best, and really wanting the person to succeed. Different from a “directing” mindset.

It works especially well on board members lol.
Agree. I say all the time it’s just like parenting. I think of it as setting expectations plus seeing potential plus correction/feedback.
