1) per diem is firm policy so yes
2) don’t know but would be good if someone can clarify the international travel bit
3) befriended a recently transferred colleague from Deloitte and his feedback was “the culture here is much better, people are a lot nicer, less back stabbing”’- take that as you may
Thanks for sharing!
Business class travel is for like 6 hours or more international and/or (can’t remember which) senior manager and above. As a manager, you can get an expensed phone, credit card or lounge access, the expense policy overall here is quite lax given we’re not an accounting firm. I know a lot of former deloitte now Accenture who also expressed the culture and encouragement of stretch roles/promo is much better here.
No one uses corporate card, you can use your own which is nice for points. At manager and above, you can expense the CC annual fee or airport lounge. Corporate phone is only for manager and up. You can combine with personal or have a separate one.
What is the per diem policy? 75? 100? And do you have to pay tax on that?
Yup actuals. Most projects tend to not care and if they’re concerned with those costs, then they can’t afford to have you on site. Don’t budge on this
Thanks everyone for responses so far! How is the 401K match and do you get preferential pricing on ACN stock?
Actually, did a google search and saw where the IRS limit may be $25K for ESPP and Accenture must limit it to $15K.
The $15K limit is for all levels up to SM for sure. Not sure how it works for MDs.
In my experience you usually do get per diems instead of directly charging each meal if that’s what you are asking. Business class only for senior managers and above. You can sometimes work around it (client booking the flights directly) but generally that’s the policy...
You have the option of per diem or billing directly
Wow.. a bit shocked by this policy honestly
The international business class policy is absurd. I think we are the only firm making folks sit in economy for 15 hour flights
