200k for a non-tech manager is pretty high. L5 is first line manager, and your role/org is not revenue generating.

I’m not sure what TC for recruiting usually is but as a whole that seems fair for non tech. L5 Non tech at google isn’t too far off from that.
For Austin for non tech and non sales for
L5 this does seem top of band.
Austinite here, originally from SF - Austin is getting crazy expensive too so keep that in mind. I know people don't want to place it on the same tier as NYC or SF but it's definitely getting there even if TX as a whole is not
Thanks for the input everyone. Maybe I’ve just been hiring and seeing too many salaries for L5/6 Engineering managers that I’m losing touch of how large the job family pay differences are (kind of astounding what an EM makes these days compared to other job families but good for them for choosing a career that pays that well). But yes, definitely agree that Austin is getting expensive (bought a run down condo 6 months ago that I’m currently renovating with the hopes of appreciation).
In general was just asking because I want to make sure I’m negotiating as best I can before deciding to take an offer from FB, since I’ve seen them offer crazy numbers to colleagues for various job families (in addition to knowing some SWE interns who got 100k sign on bonuses for getting a “rockstar” rating)
Another consideration (you might already kniw) is that a Google L5 is slightly better than facebook L5.
Just keep in mind levelling - I wouldn’t leave for facebook for less than L+1 at Google
