Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

The way you started the post, I'm going to suggest that you ask him to go. It seems like you're concerns about traveling.
Please ignore if I'm reading too much.

You should re-phrase your question properly if your actual question or concern is how to bring your in law to US. You need not tell us that your husband is forcing or asking you to go to India and bring his mom who is ‘sick and old’.
PWC1, the word force was not used by OP, inference was based on your bias ! Sick and Old can be relevant if there are any special concessions based on medical need.
If there’s nothing to positive to contribute, ignoring the post and moving on is the most helpful thing one can do. Posting negative things only distracts and shut down people due to negative flak. Hope you understand.
Current laws do not permit forcing your wife to do anything outside her willingness to do
Literally not the q
Does your husband also wants you to carry contrabands on this trip?
Nopes , you can’t ..travel ban still exists
Do you really think a confirmation from strangers over the internet would help? Maybe seek legal advice.
From the information you provided, doesn’t seem like an issue. The flights have started again i think and if not you may have to do the 14 day other country quarantine route.
Yes thank you McKinsey. Deloitte this was a in-deloitteful response
Define proper visa? If she has a B1/B2 then no - she cannot enter.
Chief
Anyone with a visa can enter the US.
K1 is Incorrect. B1/B2 cannot enter unless they quarantine in a third country like Mexico for 14 days. Your being a citizen doesn’t change things (it only applies for parents of minor children)

She will need NIE to travel to US. If not that then a stay in an another country like Mexico or Doha for 14 days and then traveling to US will also work
So we have been talking to a few lawyers about this and what Biden passed is a policy not a law so who ever decides to check your parents papers that day it’s in the discretion to them to allow or deny. Almost everyone told us not to but I think also because my husbands GC interview is around the corner (I am a citizen).
Oh yes you can surely.
