Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.
Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA

215-255. No COL adjustment in the US. We’re on a national model, where each year of exp gets you $10k more, w/ up or out at yr 5. Also comes with individual perf bonus (crap), firm bonus (crap), and RSUs vesting over 3 yrs(?). Bright side...per diem covers lunch.
It’s really tough to come in at SM unless you’re coming from Deloitte, ATK, above. Hard to meet expectations and build relationships with MDs and break into accounts and get A-M to trust your ability to run projects and be part of our culture (and bias...I’ve never competed against EY for a contract). It’s not unwelcoming, there just is limited support or effort to integrate
How much is the bonus usually for an M1? I am a new hire. Thanks
We pay folks the same regardless of their location in the US. Our base salaries range from $215k for a first year SM to something like $270k (might be higher?) for a year 5 SM
2-3 years as an Analyst / Senior Analyst
2-4 years as a Consultant
2-3 years as a Manager
6-10 years total
Note, 2 yrs at A/SA is standard, and 2 yrs at C and M are by exception (3 more common). Some also take time at C2 to get an MBA, and that puts them 2 A/SA+2 pre MBA C+2 MBA+1 post MBA C+3M (Or high performers go straight to M). Still pretty good
