Crew question: when a director throws a full-blown tantrum on set do you just roll with it? I’ve been on enough sets now to know the drill: everyone tiptoes around them and chalks it up to “pressure” or “vision.” But I’m tired of the genius exception excuse. Has anyone actually pushed back and survived it? Or is the unspoken rule still “keep your head down and stay quiet”?

It depends on the set and the power dynamics, but I’ve seen pushback work — usually when it comes from someone respected. If you speak calmly and don’t escalate, sometimes they actually reset.

I am looking for a new job at the end of a long career. I have excellent experience in IP and Supply Chain Management. I've been fortunate to be in a high-paying position in the Los Angeles area and I rarely see comparable positions posted. The comparable positions at my company are filled by one of the big executive search firms. Any recommendations for finding the rare executive-level legal positions or for landing on the radar of the big executive search firms would be much appreciated!

I'm an RN of 7 years, experience as a coordinator, on committees and do all the things. But now I just don't want to go to work anymore. I have anxiety every morning over nothing, just having to go perform my job. I could do my job in my sleep so I'm just lost and confused. My body is clearly sending me messages to leave. But where do I go? I think I need to step out of patient care.
