Hi fishes need likes to open dms.
Please help.
After uploading documents in Bosch First Services one week ago, there was no update from them, when I replied to them via mail - They said we will get back to you.Is this sign of getting compensation breakup or they looking for other candidates.I have offer from CGI and only 3 days is remaining to accept. What should I do in this case?As CGI has said if you don't join after accepting offer we will blacklist you.

You do you - don’t fall into the groupthink trap. It seems like some people on here are experiencing COVIDs fundamental changes to consulting (such as lack of travel) and worrying they may be long term (which they very well may be). If they’re young and enjoyed the travel, in person team work with coworkers/clients, and the relationship building that naturally brought along, consulting may not be able to deliver it to them in the future if consulting doesn’t revert to the old ways after COVID.
For more context - I’m an analyst and I like it so far but I feel like I should be hating it and looking to exit to big tech like everyone on this app

It’s you’re experience and what you want. Some people want to be more hands on or see it through to the end. And it’s the people or work you’re doing.
Like with anything, there are pros and cons - I spent 7 years in industry then started as an analyst (fool!) in big 4 and still here as an SM. Depends what is important to you. For me the downsides are shitty pay (UK), shitty hours, and unpredictable leadership quality from one engagement to the next. Lots of fairly useless directors and partners who push work down to those who will deliver (in all the firms I’ve been at), or who bully, harass or just push staff to burn out just to meet short term revenue goals. Plus internal politics and an abundance of online training and internal BD nonsense that’s a whole day job on top of the day job. The upsides are variety of work, if you work with someone you don’t like you know it can be over soon, job security and stable benefits, on the job learning, and I feel I could pretty much walk into any new role and have something meaningful to contribute which leaves me with options any time I want out. Also, once you get through the early years and learn to navigate the politics and nonsense, it’s actually clear how you progress (or coast along if you prefer). When you’ve been somewhere a year and earned your stripes, and found your advocates and mentors it can be really fulfilling. And if you’re like me, you have an opportunity to shake up old school cultures, crap diversity etc and pass on the good stuff to the next generation while leaving out the stuff that you hated from managers. It’s whatever you make of it/choose to take from it.
