I interviewed for the position of Associate Human Capital Advisory role at KPMG. I cleared my first round but for the second round tgey gave me 2 case studies and one excel assessment to be completed in 2.5 hours. I think I messed up the case studies and just wrote the approach and recommendations but didn't include any other preferable portions. Is there a minimum cutoff for these assessments?

The background check company will do their job. Like how much did he or she lie?
Doesn’t matter, a lie of that proportion is a lie. Also, if they catch one lie they assume the application is littered with lies. As a new grad one of the few things you can bring to the table is honesty and integrity and without that you have close to nothing.
Don’t lie. It’s really not worth it and most don’t care that much about GPA. Firms ask for transcripts all the time.
They do due diligence before they extend an offer, especially if they’re a recent grad. Your friend might be getting rejected soon.

Ew
They’ll background check it if you get the offer. At that point you’d lose your offer.
Also, ethics.

Background check will pick it up ASAP. You need to provide official transcripts. Chances of getting caught is 99%
I *accidentally* did this and did more than a .5 increase. People talking have no idea what they are talking about, background check verifies attendance dates and graduation status - that is all. If they request transcripts, you are fucked unless you want to commit fraud and forge transcripts.

Companies get background check companies to do the checks. If you lie, you will get caught by those companies. They have relationships to do qual checks with most schools. IF you do t have your official transcripts because you have not graduated, you will be flagged for follow up EVEN AFTER you join the company. Your employment contract WILL STATE THAT. how do I know? I do this

Background check company’s can’t get gpa from the school though it has to be released by the student they can only confirm you actually went there that’s why company’s ask for official transcripts sent from the school
I heard some companies tell other companies to try to blacklist lying candidates? Or is that not true?
But recruiters have good memories...and they move around. The reputation carries around.
I forgot to mention it’s an MBB
I know someone who got away with this. I hope MBB does their due diligence, especially with COVID and the job market, people extra desperate.
I would think this would get flagged from a background check. Also, whenever we interview associates we’re given their transcripts as part of the interview packet (along with resume and cover letter), so if the interviewer cared to check it’d be pretty obvious.

I love the initiative and see literally no downside to their strategy 🤣
She got an interview not a job - if she’s offered the role address it then. Depends how far out of college your friend is, if more than 3 years they likely won’t check or care
We are still in undergrad and it’s for Full time recruiting

LOL im pretty sure they ask for transcripts . Accenture asked for mine, even when I was transferring from Canada to 🇺🇸
PwC asked for my high school GPA as part of the background check after getting hired. No idea what it was, so asked the recruiter if they really cared. They said no, and to just make a best guess. 3.0 it is (I was a crappy student in HS).
Imagine it’s a different thing if you claimed to have a 3.9 with an undergrad engineering major when it’s actually a 2.9.
If your friend gets an offer, it will be rescinded about 2 months prior to the start date when the background check goes through
BACKGROUND CHECKS CANT SEE YOUR GPA. Though it’s likely the the recruiter will request official transcripts later in the process
all undergrad hires get asked for official transcripts, shes hella dumb

Not true PwC never asked for mine
