Larsen & Toubro Infotech Is it good time to join Cognizant now for Coimbatore location considering too much attrition in recent times along with many policy changes and do they have enough projects or will there be any chance of layoffs if we don't find any projects for our skill(Tableau in my case)? I have another offer with LTI, Coimbatore for same salary but i prefer CTS more than LNT. Cognizant Larsen & Toubro Infotech

What is ur current comp and loe?
100k and undergrad degree from tier 2 school
3YOE
No impact on comp. We don’t have different comp levels based on education experience, it’s all one grid.
Now if you leave to get the MBA and return, in theory you might get hired back at the post MBA level (AS2) but with a PT MBA not sure how that would work.
For us, biggest value of getting an MBA is the vacation, network you make, and any longer term goals that require one outside of OW
Also as an SC with 3YOE shouldn’t you know this or were you an external hire?
Thanks for the input! Excited to be here
I’m not sure if OW has a MBA pay cohort but my sense is that an MBA, in and of itself, will not justify higher compensation and there’s a risk in the short run that you won’t be able to give OW as much effort if you’re juggling a PT MBA for close to three years which could actually decrease your comp.
Where it gets interesting is if you can leverage your classroom learnings and relationships to be a better consultant / leader after you graduate.
I did a PT MBA while in consulting and it was tough but I’m glad that I did it for both financial and personal reasons.

Talk to your TM/CA and they will help you.
Also 100k as an SC seems odd
Chief
Since you're currently at OW you know I can't answer that, right?
Ask your TM.
Also there are some odd informations here...
