PwC India Hi folks,
I graduated with Master studies in business at Singapore, and recently moved to India. I am currently looking for a consultant role in strategy functions at big4 in India. Here in India, most of the roles in MC & strategy advisory fills through referrals and campus recruitment, and not posting on the websites. I’d like to connect with people at big4 strategy functions for referrals and to know more about the firms operations
Thanks!

General comment — I’ve worked at several F50 companies, and at least 2 of the 4 professional services companies (usual suspects). You have the responsibility to manage your career. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Plan accordingly. If it is pay jumps you want — prove you are worth it. Present your case to your incumbent employer. They can agree yet not have an opportunity for you at this moment. Your choice is do you take your value and go where the market demand is high? Or do you invest in your work network to build your brand where you are? Both routes may (or may not) get you to where you want to go. I realize that TC may be an immediate pain point, but look to the long game and plan accordingly.
Loved it. But also low pay lol
My salary range expectations have been shared and are way above my current pay and they seem to be good with that so far lol

Most people love the culture (varies by practice) including me. However people are unhappy we are the lowest paid of the big 4.
I came into Capgemini not really knowing my worth as I was joining a large consulting firm for the first time. Once I got there I realized I was getting underpaid in relation to my level and years of experience. Going into my future role, I have this new info in mind and asking for a salary that I think is competitive and fair so that I don’t have to deal with feeling like that again. Hopefully this is the right approach because once you start off at a certain number, it’s hard to see a real big jump in terms of salary increase (at least at Cap) even when promoted.
We have a saying at KPMG. It's not about the pay, it's about the friends you make along the way
My student loan debts say otherwise lol
what role at KPMG are you looking at?
For the Change Management practice in US

What's your current role? Have you applied to Deloitte and ACN?
Senior Con. I’ve applied at both. Referred to Accenture but they don’t have a role at the moment. Deloitte I applied to over a month ago and haven’t heard yay or nay since.

Have you applied to Deloitte Public Sector or Accenture Federal? Capgemini Government Solutions? Federal is on fire right now
OP, I lead a group at Cap. Maybe we should connect and talk about what can be done here. There are often a number of options.
Please feel free to DM me here.
How’s salary like at Cap in the states? (In Germany and Cap salary is def up there relative to the top IT consultancies) - exact numbers/ranges appreciated
