Currently interviewing with Northrop Grumman for Sr. Principal Engineer in California. I am to relocate from Houston, TX to San Jose, CA. If there's anyone who is willing to talk about salary this would be very helpful. Current labor statistics/cost living calculators say for my houston pay of 110K I should be asking for no less than 210K, but the pay listing is maxed at 180 from the job posting... thank you all! Any tips are welcomed!!
Consider other aspects of total compensation - time off, annual bonus, signing bonus, equity, etc.

Don't forget to bring in tax implications into your calculations.
If the calc is purely financial (moving next to family? want to live in CA?) than we're talking 2X+ the pay to even start considering it
First, I wouldn’t put a ton of confidence in those calculators without reviewing the criteria they’re focusing on. For example, if you don’t own a home in either location, it can throw off the suggestion.
Secondly, you should probably consider a different role bc if the max is 180, you’ll be getting less than that if you receive the job.
Thank you for that extra information, I appreciate the input and help and u was able to find a better viewpoint. This is to not bad mouth anyone who values their work or dignity. That being said, after doing a more proper in-depth research and the math conversion to Houston payrate along with the cost of living with the average apartment in Sunnyvale/San Jose; 90k-130k is the equivalency is 50k-70K, this is high-key disrespectful for the work a “Principal Engineer” is putting in. A Mcdonnalds Manager makes this kind of money with zero formal education… My school cost more than the base pay. You weren’t kidding about the self-worth consideration.
