One of my best friends growing up just passed away. We lost contact with each other a year or two after graduating high school and I recently came to learn he was was battling cancer the past 5 years and ultimately succumbed to the illness. He hid it well from everyone and led a very private life during it all. To make matters worse, he had just turned 25. Seeing pictures of the condition he was in towards the end of his fight broke my heart. I wish I had known so I could’ve been there for him.

I know that feedback culture is part and parcel of consulting, and I feel it is contributing to my anxiety and depression. At the same time, i enjoy the problem solving aspects and don’t want to do a career change.

On my resume, I have listed senior engineer as my title for my time at a company because it was the most recent title when I left, though I had been promoted two months before I left. For a background check, should I put the most recent title or all titles I had at the company (i.e, Sr Data Engineer and Data Engineer, or just the most recent)?

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?
