Nope. We have an au pair who would normally be doing morning helper, afternoon x3 kids, baby 3 full days/so. Since COVID, she’s had 2-3 full-time.
Mine has been back since mid-June. I live in Canada.
@EY: we have a full time nanny 45 hours and some weeks we ask her for extra hours it’s lot of relief; we had part time nanny never worked out; alternatively you can get house help for 8 to 9 hours daily where it relives you and your wife and you can spend sometime with kids. In my opinion, daycare is too risky for kids; I do not care what promises they make. At end of day too many kids are there and no social distancing rules followed.
Thanks for the input D1
We sent our 2 year old to daycare up until we had our second kid last week. We plan to send him back to daycare once my wife has to go back to work as well. I will add my wife has a heavily subsidized daycare through her work so that played into the $ discussion.
I will add ours was part of a hospital as well. But yes, everyone has access to data and will make their own determinations from there based on safety, development, social interactions, etc. Daycare worked very well for us.
We do homecare, so a much more limited number of children and we know the families. No issues so far.
