Hey CDs. Let’s say there was a planner with a ton of experience with big brands and this person was getting laid off. Would you take a chance on them as a freelance writer if they were super cheap?

I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. The more pedestrian your intellect, the better fit you are at D Heard of a colleague with an FRM charter being laid off today. Overall excellent person. And you won't believe who they promote year after year.. the character, curiosity and quality of the lifers Don't join this firm if you for a love of learning and to be inspired. Join if you are a middling who wants a good brand to hack ahead in life and rise above your station

I work on an account that has not set management boundaries with our client. It feels like we’re a restaurant, where client is allowed to directly request whatever tasks they want anytime and everything is urgent. Theres a tendency to send “last minute requests” which are usually completed on time... which means I have to drop everything else in order to complete it. I’ve been told to even start working 1 hr before my working schedule... even though I find myself working overtime 1-2 hrs. HELP!

Hey mommas - My baby is 14 weeks old and I haven't gotten my period back yet. I'm worried I'm pregnant again. When did you get your period back? For context, I'm breastfeeding but not exclusively (I am pumping and nursing as much as I can though). I've been on the pill since 6 weeks and my husband used condoms for the first few weeks once we started again. Surprisingly, I can't find anything online that's helpful. Any sense of a timeframe would be tremendously anxiety-reducing!

60M people need to be vaccinated. Offering them $1000 each would cost this country $60B. Realistically, you can get to half of that population — $30B. One booster shot for 250M people at 80% uptake — $200B. For $30B - $230B, we can end the pandemic in the USA. Worth it? Edited: add in $5M for an MBB to do this math and put it in a PPT for you. And $50M for a big 4 firm to implement, botch, reimplement.

I have a question where I don't know the answer and at this point am too afraid to ask without anonymity. I worked 6 yrs at a firm where I never opened a new matter/client and wasn't expected to. Now I'm at a firm for 2 yrs where that is expected. We have 3 fields to fill in: Billing Atty, Working Atty, and Originating Atty. I have no clue what any of those mean as far as credits who gets what credit by being placed in those fields. I don't want to short myself or my colleagues as I do more..

For "senior" roles at FAANG, does the title correlate well between the companies? Unlike the discrepancies we see between consulting firms? I see widely varying YOE in the job descriptions (more team dependent than company dependant) but I'm not sure how faang companies perceive each others' titles. Data science if it matters.

Reviewing resumes and I see more and more frequent that people last one year or less at a job and move on to the next. Is that the new norm? I’m a millennial but my last job I was with for over 4 years. Can I ask in the interview why they’ve moved around so much? Or find a nicer way of asking that. I’m definitely looking for longevity not a hopper.

Saw this on LinkedIn this morning. I must admit at times I don’t get questioned by just men but women as well who don’t understand why I’m working tirelessly for equality. They either state it’s an uphill battle or “all in my head.” Has anyone been told that gender equality is a mirage? How did you handle the situation? No wrong answers!
