December PSA: had an interview with a Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Director and they asked me what a scrum master is, as seen on my resume. 🚩🚩🚩. When I explained what Agile is, they said “yeah we do that, but we call it something else.” 🤣👀.

Hey folks
I got a call from TCS to interview for a new unit formed within org with the name of Business Transformation Group as per new org restructuring. Anyone from TCS who can help to understand more about this?
Does it cater to only niche technologies or how does this actually function?

Work there and can confirm they lack PM knowledge and push on the “science “
Reach out to the PM group to join the tool. The more groups that use it the more useful the tool is. There is a lot of data information that is useful across groups... And you can use different capabilities already developed and used by other groups.
Msg me if youre interested.
I interviewed with them a couple of years back. The culture was a red flag to me too. Glad I didn't join and you should be too!
? Is this an attempt at a life sciences consulting meme
Haha, it should be a meme! It’s a PSA to steer clear and save your time

I’m assuming you were interviewing for a product role.
It’s tough, but agile/scrum and other practices we consider standard in many scenarios aren’t common in pharmaceutical companies. And that’s probably ok — the requirements for pharmaceutical products are pretty standard. The regulatory requirements aren’t really going to evolve on a week by week basis — and the product will have a set launch date with almost no iteration afterwards except LCM. The requirements up front are so rigid - you couldn’t launch and recruit for a pivotal clinical trial and then decide your primary endpoints should be different.
