Deloitte 🐠 - can your salary position within your band influence utilization? E.g. two SC’s with a salary of 110 and 160 respectively - will a partner pick the cheaper resource to bolster margin?

I’m imagining a homegrown and a later hire who are equally good at their jobs.

Not in the current pricing model.

Yes in GPS, no in Commercial

like

Depends. Sometimes yes but if the higher priced person has specific skills then they’d go for that

I think the pricing model treats resources the same within level

The two responses here are in conflict - not sure if it’s because it differs by subsection of the business or there is actual inconsistency. If it helps I’m thinking of a strategy and analytics resource specifically.

Level, market offering, and career model matter. That’s it.

No they don’t know your salary...at the project level the margins are based on your billing rate and cost by level.

Well clearly we’ve all been very helpful 😂

Not sure why an AVP at some firm even cares.

As stated above in many posts, it doesn’t matter, other than if you are in the government practice.

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.
