Deloitte how is your Target Promotion Year set or determined? By company needs?

hey Fishes, I am oracle apps tech consultant with YOE 8 years. current CTC is 15LPA fixed at DC Con level. I feel as underpaid for my tech stack and YOE. deloitte gave me around 60% raise from previous employer. now I have spent almost 8 months in Deloitte, how should I convey my grievances to my managers and HR. I have been on 2 assignments since my joining and client is all praise for me in both assignments. appreciate you valuable advices. thanks!!

Hello Fishes, I have total 6years 7months of experience, full tenure in Infosys. I got my Technology Lead role change last week. My current package after my promotion stands 8.7 of which around 1.2 is variable. Recently I got an offer from TCS with 12.5 lpa. But the position they are offering is IT Analyst. Since I got my role change to TL already, will joining TCS in IT Analyst be a step down in my career? Suggestions please.

Why do people join VC over PE if the pay is lower, and VC performance is heavily skewed towards a few top performers (2/3rd of VCs fail to raise a second fund)? You’d have to have a LOT of conviction that A) your fund is a winner and that B) you have a big shot at actually moving up. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I have a great job offer of 160k at a great firm with 10% bonus. My current firm pays 118k with no bonus. I had a passing conversation about how we are losing people and I’m like well it’s the market. Then he made comment yea but there’s nothing we can do. It’s just coming out of partners pockets. I was feeling kinda bad for planning to quit, but after that comment, maybe I shouldn’t feel bad? The partners do what’s best for their pay then so should I? I am just feeling really worried about it!
