Hello there. I have been interviewing with Okta and got through all 5 rounds of interviews. They say they want to offer me the job but there is a global freeze for all marketing roles at the company. They want to offer me a contractor role instead. Does anyone here know if that is the case? I haven't heard anything as they seem be on wellness week. Thanks for any guidance :)

Hii, I'm a developer and in Comcast interview they asked me questions regarding development, but in the offer letter they've mentioned it as Quality and Automation Engineer as my role. Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.

Beginning to consider going in house (4th, corp) - I really haven’t thought about what I want, partly because I’m not sure what’s out there/attainable. Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? Has anyone dealt with a lack of praise from attorneys? I'm not someone who needs to hear "good job" all the time, but we just got a huge deal closed that I worked really hard on and had a lot of overtime. And once it closed, the lead attorney praised the other attorneys, and said nothing about me or my work. I might just be overly sensitive, but it kind of stung. Thoughts?

FAANG offer is slightly higher (though both are a 50+% bump on my current comp). Both would have me reset to entry level. Which one should I take?

Anyone know of orgs with an emphasis/value teaching and learning?

My friend is working for a non-profit, has lots of transferable skills, and is willing to learn…but his job applications haven’t gained much traction. I think it’s because he’s looking to move towards a more corporate org and those recruiters don’t necessarily know what to make of his past experience.

How long does it usually take from submitting an application to first day at your new firm when switching firms?

Company has low base pay but offers "meaningful raise" after few months good performance. Can I ask them to define that?
