Everyone gets 25 days - yes using it counts against util
Do do they not expect u to ever go on vacation?!
Based on standard billing and SC target util you can not work 11 weeks and still hit target. Taking 5 of them for vacation still leaves 6 for the bench. You don't get "extra credit" for higher util at year end, all that matters is did you hit the target or not, and if not do you have a valid reason. Tired of hearing people bitch about this.
That’s assuming your project lets you bill more than 40 hours a week, a lot don’t...
M and up is 30 days
Everything is based on 45 billable hours a week. The math works
If you bill 45 hrs per week and take all of your PTO you still hit around 100% utilization
I lose PTO days every year....you are asking the wrong questions
Standard vacation...ha. it's a value I see appear and disappear in my talent summary.
Except maybe federal, pricing models don’t get approved at 40 hours
Make sure you get a project you can bill greater than 40 else you are screwed
I’ve been here over 10 years and I’ve only ever lost 2 PTO days. You need to manage your time off. I’ve also never had a project where I couldn’t bill 45 hours/week.
Rare for commercial projects to have a cap at 40
Haha I love it when people find out how many days of pto we get
SC Util is 90% over 52 weeks. So if you work 40 every week you will have time to do vacation. Assuming your not in training... 😴
Some firm work counts towards utilization also
And if you’re a strong performer, getting slightly less than your target util isn’t a huge deal— we get it, you have to take PTO, and sometimes projects have hard stops at 40. Just don’t be on the bench for 4 months or something like that.
We r sold out. This will not be a problem
Deloitte S&O is 85% goal. Y1 people are scared to use their vacation days because their util prob sucks, but Y2 it’s very easy to use all your days.
Never had a project less than 45 hours billable, and many let me bill 50+
I’ve lost 80-120 hours PTO every year after my first rollover. I assume that it’s mainly a pre-built severance package you get to cash out when you quit or get fired
