I am incredibly happy with my management team so it's not a firm wide problem. We also didn't have any layoffs in my market.
I came to K from D and it's the best effi has decision of my life. D drained my life and expected me to say "thank you senpai" for it. K isn't all roses, but in general it's so much better it's almost hilarious. I have now turned down all other big 4s to stay here.
Don't think your firm's so special. We have the same crap over here
Even worse in industry! Welcome to corporate America my friend.
I am ex-D, and my experience with E was an improvement from Day 1
I actually thought this was a PwC post... Had to do a double-take to confirm that it wasn't.
Same stuff, different branding.
There goes slalom trying to sell again 🙄
Other firms have less of a focus on firm development.
I'm ex Accenture. Same thing at all B4 really. I joined Slalom for rue culture and better pay... We do better work too. People care about the work vs. just money in the pipeline here. You don't get let go of you're on the bench either (unless you're bad and unstaffable), because they know that in. The near future, pipe will expand and they'll need you again. Worth a chat with Slalom. We're 20%+ ex Deloitte, 27%+ ex Accenture and so on and so forth from B4
MC IT Strategy focused on SAP landscapes. It's not the work, which is better than D in all respects, it's truly the people. Much much much better
Does EY even have real consulting outside of Parthenon?
The cultures are all roughly the same. They vary in ways that would be specific to those that know the other firms, but are the same to outsiders. K was much more about EE engagement and EE satisfaction focused than D, but didn't have to deal with scale that D does, either (still miss my summer gift and numerous encore awards). Don't forget D culture is far more insular than rest of B4 because they were never broken apart. Remainder are realigned puzzle pieces that had to redefine their culture after seeing forced "marriages" that failed miserably. At K, mgt consulting is more laid back because it isn't king of the castle. Deals is. Their culture is much closer to D Consulting - hours, expectations, etc. others may disagree, but my experience says satisfaction is more defined by team and project than by overall firm decisions.
Don't have any point of reference since I came to K from industry but the culture and people are pretty chill here
Most management here is very caring for your development and don't mind just leaving you on the bench. Thats the culture but thats probably the culture at most federal consulting.
Yeah D is doing really bad in management lately
I feel ya OP, I'm so unmotivated and demoralized here
@d8- only because I really love it here and believe in the firm.
Subscribed. Heard PwC wasn't always like this. I guess with growth comes consequences
Do you prefer green or red/yellow? Pretty much same ship, different paint. Many say people at PwC a bit less mean.
