I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

McKinsey & Company Any advice to help prepare for data science analyst role at top consulting firms (McKinsey & Company EY Boston Consulting Group etc)? Any materials, open source platform recommended to take on freelance data science project? When should I start actively looking and applying? I am a new grad who is working in tech as a marketing analyst I’m looking to pivot to marketing& sales data science consulting next year. Would like someone with similar backgrounds offer some practical tips.
Hi fishies! Are there any recruiters from Facebook (Meta) who would be kind enough to review my resume and give me some feedback? From my perspective I’m a candidate for some of the roles I’ve recently applied for and also have experience as a contingent worker there and would like some honest feedback so I can reassess and reapply. Thanks so much in advance!

Bain & Company Can we start a salary thread to get an idea about the salaries in Europe for different job functions, I can find solid data of tech salaries (SWE, PM, etc) but hard to find consulting salaries.

Part of my consideration is the assumption that WLB is likely to be better than at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or Bain & Company. Could any of you fellow European fishies shed some light on the validity of this assumption? Sharing experiences would be highly appreciated.

Also, US salaries are so inflated. Every tom, dick and harry makes 100k
It's a bit of a no brainer, the opportunity to live somewhere else trumps the American buy buy buy push. I spend way less money in Europe than in America. So much less advertising and in your face brainwashing to make you spend on unnecessary things.
Which city are you in? Which city did you move from?
My friend did this and he regrets it. It’s nice to go to Europe for vacation or after retirement.
Salary taxes:
>30% (US) vs. ≈51% (France), gives you an idea.
May want to skip that move at the moment
Took a 50% cut. But couldn’t be happier. I feel like a finally belong somewhere now
Where did you move to? And where from?
Yes, me, but not in consulting. I found a job that paid more than consulting, but it was still a big pay cut.
Hi, sure. DM me
I am curious do y‘all just look at your salary when talking about pay cuts? I mean the absolute amount is lower in Europe but so are cost of living, healthcare expenses, just about everything except gas… COL in Germany in a top city is probably about a third to half of NYC. I transferred to NYC with the same company and while I probably save more right now in terms of absolute value I also adjusted my lifestyle a lot. Not going out to lunch/dinner every day anymore, not getting coffee 2x a day, traveling less.
Did your salary get increased when transferring to US? By what %?
