Did some reading on /r/cscareerquestions and saw a few posts about declining demand for Data Scientists. What would be some alternative career paths if that were to become true?

Looking to pivot into healthcare consulting. I come from a MHA background with a two year Administrative Fellowship following it. Any experience breaking into one of the top consulting firms with this type of background?

Is it worth to move to a Value Engineering and GTM role in a product based company from Deals Strategy and Value creation role in a Big 4? In the last one year, I only learnt Power Bi and Alteryx but no functional or domain knowledge. Offshore setup doesn't allow us to get full idea about what's happening in the front end. Please guys I need your thoughts on this.

Engineers, have you ever regretted accepting a promotion to management? What should I consider before saying yes?

A. Typical salary for senior analyst / associate in corp dev at a bulge bracket?

B. Is it worth exiting from big 4 strategy?

I am finishing up a project and I’m trying to document what I’ve done for my resume. What are some good metrics for someone who mainly created user stories, created dashboards, interacted with the client and developed statistical models? One of my dashboards got deployed to production but it’s to early to see the impact. My other dashboards are almost done but I’m moving on to something else.

I was hired a few months ago by D to do data science. I am not doing data science currently, is there a way I can switch roles internally? Should I talk to my coach? Or should I just start looking for a new job. I’m starting to feel that the field is so hot rn my small stint at D won’t be a big deal to other firms.

Big 4 Data Scientists, how did you exit to big tech firms? I’ve been unlucky with online applications and even referrals. I think it might be my resume or how I present myself. Can any free birds please give guidance?

Coming to the realization that consulting is not for me (tech person) feeling angry that salaries at D will never be on pair with FANG and that leadership is not tech focused. For example you could be a soul contributor at fang making 240k and people at Deloitte wait 10+ years to earn that as Senior Managers because they need to climb the corporate ladder. It seems super clear cut to me now, if you want to make money in tech don’t join consulting firms. Am I wrong?
