Studies show that health of male sperm directly impacts the woman’s pregnancy. Healthy sperm showed easier pregnancies, less nausea, etc. unhealthy sperm showed crippling HG, etc. I can’t find the exact studies now, I can try come back and post later but look it up if you can.
Healthy sperm at conception would mean you being healthy 3-4 months prior.
Do your wife a favor 😅
I had no nausea my entire pregnancy thankfully.
I paid for it in other ways (my own body, not sperm quality related) 😅 but I was very very grateful about that.
I was in and out of the hospital 5-6 times in first trimester, cancer scare (ultrasounds and biopsy) because my lymph nodes were the size of golf balls and throbbed, stabbing shooting pain for 16 weeks, felt like my body was breaking open every second of every day and night until 16 weeks because I was sensitive to the relaxin, couldn’t sit stand lay down, had to quit my job. Then had an unnecessary emergency c section because of the hospital I chose. Now all my scar tissue is fused together and I can’t have more kids even if I wanted to.
If I also had nausea, I would have aborted.
Reduced, but didn’t cut out completely. I still had 2-4 glasses per week.
I didn’t reduce my drinking before TTC. (We were pretty much going to weddings every weekend.) After we did actually “try,” I slowed down. Two drinks on NYE. Tested positive on 1/5.
We both cut way back, but still had an occasional drink. Very very rarely more than one drink a day, but ended up TTC for 2 years so did take some breaks. I also had no nausea during my pregnancy, and do think my husband being really healthy helped.
(We also both took CoQ10, and I took an açaí supplement.)
My husband never cut down.. not to make him sound like an alcoholic or anything, but he kept up his usual habits. I was undergoing IVF and abstained from alcohol except for some wine during one week where I kinda had a break from all hormones/procedures
