Have an interview tomorrow and realized the resume I submitted a few months ago doesn’t include a recent promotion. Worth remaking / bringing a copy with the promotion on it or let it go? Quick promo
Found a role I’d like to apply to and know the recruiter’s name for that role. Should I reach out to him/her in LinkedIn before applying? Or is it weird / unprofessional to reach out directly to the recruiter for the role?
What’s the difference between exiting at C vs M (or SC)? I’m interviewing for a Product Manager role that would net at least a 20% salary increase. At the same time, I’m having second thoughts about leaving consulting given the current trend of layoffs.
I’m gonna cry. In consulting I’m told I’m too geeky and have poor soft skills. I just interviewed at a tech firm and they said I have perfect soft skills but I’m lagging on my tech. Who am I anymore?!
Interviewed for internal manager role at BCG and moved to second round but across another role at BCG that is a better fit. Should I tell the recruiter and withdraw from the current interview process?
Have you been asked to provide references after final round interviews? The last time I had to provide references was in 2012, so reference checks seem a bit outdated to me
In house interview: I had an interviewer ask if I was looking eventually move to the business side and I said no but I was wondering if people thought that was the answer interviewers are looking for
I have reason to believe that HR at the company that I have interviewed at received personal details that aren’t supposed to be divulged when they contact the previous company which negatively
4 rounds of interviews at kpmg, HR called me and said they'd "like to hire" me but been 3 weeks and still no offer letter is it over
I’m at a great nyc agency and have been happy. Account work has dried up and they want me to stay on and help in Strat. I saw the writing on the wall and am interviewing for Acct at a better spot. But curious about the whole strat thing. Any advice?
I have an in-person interview on Wednesday. Can I wear a jean mask? Or should I wear something a little more formal?
Does anyone have experience with case study interviews at EY? I didn't go through one when I was hired but am now interviewing with another practice. Any examples, tips, tricks anyone can share?
Who used all 24 statements in consulting career? What’s your favorite? For me - let’s make sure this is client ready statement is the max I use on regular basis!

I’m up for promotion to Director and was told last week by HR I will present my case to leadership this week, and I thought no problem. Now I just found out a male colleague was told he got it CONT...
Anyone have suggestions for mutual funds I can invest my HSA into? I have Aetna which allows me access to certain JP Morgan funds.
Does networking/client-facing energize or drain you? Share your thoughts. For me personally it’s the best part of my job (I find company politics draining, not human interactions tho tbh). Which is interesting because I’m an ambivert (not full-on extrovert). Was at non client-facing job prior to consulting and it felt so dry.
How do you deal when another team on your project tries to throw yours under the bus if things go wrong? Assume there is fault all around, but more on them.
On new client that’s incredibly difficult and soul crushing. Worried we’ll lose the business and it will be “our fault.” CD is on way out so no help coming from there. Advice?
Being a foreign worker on H1b who recently rolled off from the project and currently on beach, what are my options in these times of impending slowdown?
Deloitte ladies. It’s my first green light this Friday... kinda nervous. What should I expect? How does it usually go? Does your coach let you know how much your compensation increases by during the discussion or when do you find that out? Sorry for posting here but the main Deloitte bowl is hostile sometimes.
Anybody else receive an offer from UBS for internal consulting? I’m in the negotiations phase and want to know what the bands are they’re not telling me yet. My offer is for the Nashville team but even the Weehawken numbers help me some. TIA. The geographical discrepancy in comp between the two so far from what I gather is surprising and is much more than the delta for a “tier 1” vs “tier 3” city at my current firm. Feel free to DM me if you don’t feel comfortable leaving it in comments. TIA
I'm too tired to cry.. how do u manage the overwhelming feeling of work will not get done before the big milestone.
