BCG does for top ~50% of each associate class. Selection is based on performance (at least theoretically) and you owe 2 years of service after returning, or you need to pay back whatever BCG paid (pro-rated by whatever portion of the 2 years you came back for).
Do they give sponsorship to analyst from BCG GAMMA also?
Bain sponsors as long as you didn’t underperform in the last year. Commitment is the duration of the programme. (1y for a 1y programme, 2y for a 2y programme)
Yes, Bain does for pretty much anyone who wants it. Will pay for 2 years (you can choose to do a longer program like law or MBA/MPP, but they’ll pay for only 2 of the 3) either directly if you commit to coming back before you leave, or reimburse after (which has tax implications). You owe the same number of years as they paid for, so if you do a 1 year program, that’s only 1 year back after.

I believe it’s everyone for McKinsey
All BAs in good standing (i.e., no issues with their latest performance review) can get sponsored after ~1.5 years here for two years of grad school - could be MBA, MPP, JD, etc. You're required to come back to the firm for two years afterward, and if you leave early (either on your own or for bad performance) you have to repay what the firm paid. Depending on the sponsorship option you choose, you may also need to spend your internship summer at the firm.
The salary differences vary by position. BAs (undergrad and most masters programs) start around $90K. Associates (MBAs, PhDs, and maybe some masters programs) start around $165K. I'm not sure in which role you'd end up with an MPA. Also I don't think we hire specifically for public sector work; you'd have to come in as a generalist.
Sponsored for everyone that joins as a Business Analyst (most junior level) in the integrative track
BA is a BA if experienced hire or not so eligible for sponsorship

Thanks B1&2, that’s super helpful!
If you’re in NAMR sponsorship is easier - in Europe it is a smaller portion - only the top 20-30% or so
In the UK everyone that wants sponsorship gets it at McK
Would do diligence if MBB have different repayment policies. My understanding from HBS friends is BCG is prorated, Bain is only forgiven on one year blocks (so if you stay 1.5 you still have to pay 1)
