Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone!
I've been offered a job at Publicis Sapient as a front-end developer (React Js).
What kind of work culture, work load and tech stack exposure should I be expecting?
I'm having 1 year experience.
I've also got offers from IndiaMART InterMESH Limited, Amdocs, Verizon and Collegedunia.
All for the role of front-end web developer.
I'm very confused between all of them.

AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

Most companies offer a general purpose stipend every two weeks that you can use for stuff like this.
We have a 1 time wfh stipend of $750 for desk set up / etc, and a monthly $40 WiFi reimbursement
My company has a rolling stipend for home office equipment as needed. I think it's a bit rude to say that's "greedy" - companies are supposed to be making accommodations to make home working easier
Large companies that I’ve been a part of have not had any stipends outside of training requests. Every startup I’ve worked for has has a minimum of an internet and/or health stipend.
Be greedy, the market for job seekers is pretty great right now.
My company offered one, but we don't have educational stipends.
I feel most should.
Some companies don't provide it but I think it should
Mine only offers comp for internet
We also have one time 700$ stipend for work setup but I’m at a mid sized startup
I love it when a company calls an employee greedy acting like they’re not also greedy. If they weren’t they would give you the stipend.
Traditionally (10+ years ago), yes......but definitely I've seen this kind of stipend (just like car allowances) going away in these last 10 years....easy reason why.
Years ago many people didn't have a personal cell phone or home internet...or if they did, the plans were small and not effective for work, so there was a clear "cost" that was associate to working from home or "being on-call".
That can't be said anymore. Literally everyone has a cell phone and high-speed internet. So how are your costs increased by working from home?
Also, you are saving on not paying for gas to drive to work, or sit on the highway, or pay for parking. Companies haven't asked you to take less salary because your costs are lower by working from home.
Just like it's reasonable that they aren't offering much if anything for things like home office equipment.
However, I would say it's 50/50. I see both some firms with a monthly allowance for these things (generally small $$$), and firms with a one-time or annual flat amount for these things, ranging from $500 - $1000 for items like desks, chairs, headsets......
But the big person you should thank is Donald Trump. He changed the tax law that allowed you to deduct home office expenses from your taxes. Can't do that anymore :) Complain to your congress/senator about it. That's worth more than asking your employer for a stipend.
my company gives standard equipment (laptop, mouse, keyboard, 2 monitors). they also give you a sit-stand desk and ergonomic chair. we also receive 12K of educational reimbursement every year.
In my experience, nothing outside of the basics like laptop, headset, monitor, chair / desk rental etc. Bc you are saving on transportation costs, most companies think it evens out
