Hi folks,
I had got an assessment from HSBC . Problem is that the link to the assessment opens to my career page and it is showing 'Access Denied'. There is a mail and a contact no in the same assessment but the mail is showing as invalid and the phone no is less than 10 digits. Whom to approach in this situation? There is no PoC from my side.

There are 16 leadership principle and I’m thinking of creating some stories around each but the thing that concerns me is what if the questions they ask are related to the same principle and I might have already used up my stories. Something like that. Can anyone please help? Amazon

I haven’t brought a book or resumé to an interview since my first gig out of ad school. If they’re talking to you in person, they’ve seen and like your work. You’re there so they can decide if you’ll be bearable to work with. 😉
Yes I'm late to nearly every interview because I'm stuck at Kinkos printing my resumes that they don't even look at. Wish I was kidding.
I bring resumes mostly because at the very least they have to think about me when they recycle it
I always bring a few copies of my resume. I’ve never brought any portfolio work in physical form unless it’s a print-specific gig.
SD1, a printed resume and a device to present on shows that you are prepared and considerate. You are the one that wants the job, not them.
No one will ever frown upon being prepared. Having the attitude that “if they did not look it’s on them” is everything that is wrong with your approach.
They are interviewing you for a host of things: Creative ability, how you present yourself and your work, your thought process, how prepared you are, and your cultural fit/personality.
Starting off by putting the responsibility on them for a job you want is poor form.
^ Nope. The recruiter has put them on their radar and they have glanced at your portfolio because they have a million things going on in their day to day. Showing up without a resume or something to present and talk through your work shows unpreparedness. I have interviewed candidates without those items and it left a negative impact.
No resume. That was like 2011
I bring my resume In case the HR person forgot to print them out beforehand. Better safe than sorry!
@AD1 — i would never bring print-outs of my work because it’s mostly digital/motion-based or for social media and would look like shit in any print format. if you’ve brought me in for an interview, i would assume you’ve looked at my portfolio. if not, that’s on you.
Holy shit who brings a resume to an interview anymore? They’ve looked at your book already and like the work if you’re there in person. If they haven’t, that’s an unprepared tire fire of an agency
AD1 that shit is nuts. Your preparedness, thoughtfulness and fit are all things that can and should be evaluated through conversation. Bringing a piece of paper doesn’t make you seem more intelligent, speaking intelligently does
