Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones? https://blog.shrm.org/blog/9-interesting-interview-questions-that-actually-reveal-a-lot-about-candidat

Hi fishes, can anyone from Impetus tell me how much yearly hike is given by the company. I have offer from another company which is paying 3 lakhs more plus 1 lakh joining bonus. But their yearly hikes are almost negligible (3-5%). I plan to stay long with my next company (min 3 years). So if impetus can offset the ctc after couple of year I will go there. Please help! Email. Keep that channel open
I’m from the south and all about a handwritten note... however... often times, hiring takes place really fast and if a handwritten note isn’t there the next day, they’ll assume you didn’t send anything. So I typically opt for the speediness of an email, always within 24 hours of the interview.
Just a short e-mail. When I’m hiring I don’t care what you say as long as it’s grammatically correct with no spelling errors. I just want to see a note. Shows me that you’re thoughtful and detail oriented.
email. get that email..
All my jobs i have gotten i didnt say shit after interview. Every desperate jobless person is sending in those emails looking over-eager. How do you stand out from the rest? Make a great first impression and then let them reach out. Trust me, when they are short on staff & deliverables are piling up, they will hire you within a week
Analyst sounds like he has googled a lot "how to get girls to like me"
Nice stationary and a thoughtful note
Email after the interview for me. Now youre in touch!
Thank you email for sure. I had one of those rare cases where I didn’t get the job, but in my followup they said they liked me and would keep me in mind. I said thank you and that I would add them on Linkedin to stay in touch. I got hired for another role there about a month later.
I tend to do LinkedIn messages, especially when I don’t get emails of those I’ve interviewed with. It helps out later because if you don’t get the job, it allows you to stay in touch with them throughout your career passively (or actively). As a result, they might reach out later based on your LinkedIn activity (going freelance, an article you shared, etc).
I’m old school about it, I ask for a business card at the end of an interview. (A lot of times they dont have one, but they kind of apologize about not having one) Maybe its just me but I feel like people strongly associate Linked In alerts with being annoyed, and Linked In messages with desperation.
