Do senior roles really require ‘people management,’ or is that just a checkbox? seeing more senior postings ask for team management experience, but not all in-house roles provide opportunities to lead people. Does lacking direct reports truly block candidates from Director/VP-level jobs, or can strong project/ cross-functional leadership count too?

Need advice. Very Shy guy and girl, met a while back for a side hustle both like each other a LOT, relationship has progressed in other areas but not in the physical realm, primarily because neither officially asked the other out. How feasible is it to transition out of compliance into legal practice?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?
